Kevin’s “wow” sound experience:February of 2002. I was the Venue Telecommunications Manager at Snowbasin for the 2002 Winter Olympics and it was our opening day of competition. There were 30,000 plus spectators in the stands and as the last forerunner came down the course and we officially began the 2002 Games the roar of the crowd was stifling. To this day as I think about it or describe it to someone the hair on back of my neck stands up and it brings a smile to my face.
Kevin’s favorite part of a day at Listen:
My favorite part of any day at Listen is being presented with a problem, analyzing the possible solutions, and then implementing that solution. Ultimately when a customer is involved the satisfaction of solving their problem is even greater. A customer who begins a call with me frustrated and discouraged, and hangs up feeling as though they have resolved their issues brings me a great deal of happiness.
Kevin’s dream sound product of the future:
A product that does automatic language interpretation. Any language that was spoken would be interpreted into the language you understand. This would allow language barriers everywhere to be completely broken and a truly global community would be possible.
