Mark’s “wow” sound experience:I will never forget the sound of the space shuttle taking off during the first launch I watched. I was 3 miles back. At first you saw the shuttle slowly lifting away from the launch pad with an eerie silence. Then the ground and buildings started to shake as the first low sound waves hit you. I felt like a kid again and I wanted to be an astronaut.
Mark’s favorite part of a day at Listen:
Getting a sale, any sale that you have been working on - OR hearing about this from one of my colleagues.
Mark’s dream sound product of the future:
I think it would be cool to have a voice activated implant that acted as a music source and a phone. In other words, an implant that you could verbally command that would search your music list, your favorite songs, XM radio stations, verbally give you GPS directions, be used for linking to educational and research material, used in a cuing mode for presentation and take incoming calls and make outgoing calls. The implant would not be noticeable, would serve to enhance ones hearing and could be switched on or off so that you could have normal conversations. That would be cool. I would call it Earonics.
