Overview

The C2 ListenPoint Control Unit is the heart of a standard ListenPoint system. It’s simple and easy for users with one, intuitive control for adjusting volume and selecting audio sources (volume can also be adjusted on the M1). The Control Unit connects to the Room Module using a single Cat-5e cable. Audio and control devices connect to the rear panel. Extensive customization of system through password protected front panel or via USB port. The tilting LCD is easy to read and displays the status of all M1s on the system including battery level. The C2 delivers outstanding performance on a budget. Designed to blend into any room, the control unit can be wall, desk or rack mounted.

Architectural Specs

The control unit shall be capable of accepting two (2) unbalanced stereo inputs. The unit shall incorporate a single digital rotary control and LCD display for selecting audio, setting volume, system customization and status of the M1s. The control unit shall incorporate automatic audio selection of audio sources and the volume of such source shall be controlled by M1s connected to the system. The unit shall be connected to a corresponding room module using a standard Cat-5e cable. The unit shall be capable of being configured via a USB port. The unit shall be capable of being mounted on wall or table by means of a snap in platform and shall be wall, desk or rack mountable. The ListenPoint LPT-C2 Control Unit is specified.

      The R12 ListenPoint Room Module (RM) is designed to easily mount on the ceiling or on the wall of a room and its primary purpose is to communicate with the ListenPoint Microphone/Media Interface (M1) via infrared light and provide power amplification (60 Watts) for the speakers mounted in the ceiling or on a wall.

    What is different between the two versions of CU’s?
    The C2 Control Unit offers two (2) unbalanced inputs and one (1) unbalanced output and a USB port for customization. The C6 Control Unit offers a balanced input/output, a teleconferencing input/output, four (4) unbalanced inputs, one (1) unbalanced output and USB port for customization.  

    Will the ListenPoint system accept stereo inputs?
    Yes, All stereo inputs are summed internally to a mono signal. The rest of the signal path within the ListenPoint™ system is mono. Even though the CU has a Left and Right Line Output, it is actually a mono signal.
     
    Can the LPT-C2 be programmed via software?
    Yes, using the USB port through the LPT-A141 software the LPT-C2 and LPT-C6 are fully customizable.
     
    How much does the LPT-A141 software cost?
    The software is free of charge and downloadable from our website.
     
    Does the LPT-C2 include a rack mount kit?
    No, you need to purchase the LPT-A101 Rack Mount Kit separately.
     
    Can I use Cat-6 or Cat-7 cable with the CU?
    Yes, however Cat-5e is the minimum.
     
    What is the maximum length of Cat-5e cable between CU and RM?
    Maximum length for full power is 75 ft. (23 m)
     
    What is the warranty of the LPT-C2?
    The ListenPoint™ system has a 5 year warranty on core product that covers all manufacturing defects. Also all accessories have a 90 day warranty.
