Overview

The DM 6510 F Delegate Flush Unit is a cost-effective way to permanently flush mount a loudspeaker, a fixed microphone with microphone button, yes/no/abstain voting buttons and chip card reader. Made of black anodized aluminum, the unit is very unobtrusive. Each unit enables participants to speak, register a request-to-speak, listen to other speakers and cast a vote.

The unit can either be controlled by the microphone button or remotely by the operator/conference chair. The gain/sensitivity of the microphone/loudspeaker can be remotely controlled by the operator. The microphone button contains an LED to indicate whether the unit is on (RED) or in the request-to-speak queue (GREEN). The loudspeaker is automatically switched off when the microphone is activated to prevent acoustic feedback. Mounting is easy with available screw holes on all corners of the unit. The units can be easily daisy chained with shielded FTP or STP Cat-5e cables (sold separately) and can be customized to fit any application.

    FAQ

Do I need software to use the voting feature?
Software is required to handle the voting, results, display etc.

How many microphone units can be connected to the CU?
The total number of units that can be connected is based on cable length, type of CU and the type of unit being connected, but on each output of a CU 6010 you can typically get about 30 to 42 delegate/chairman units, or 20 to 30 flush mount units, or 16 Interpreter Sets. More units can be added with extension power supplies. Contact Listen Technical Support for more information.

How far can the daisy chain cabling go?
200 meters without any repeaters. Up to 640 meters with repeaters and further when using optical cables. Contact Listen tech support for more information.

Can I mix and match different microphone styles with the system?
Yes, all the DCS 6000 units with a loop through (all except the DT/IT) can be connected in parallel or serial configurations.

    Is the cabling proprietary cabling?
No, but it must be shielded Cat-5 (FTP /STP). Depending on the specification, higher shielded CAT cables can be used for extension cables as well.

Can I use a conference system without chairman unit?
Yes you can, however, there will not be any priority function available. The chairman will not be able to manage the microphone system.

How many microphones can be connected to the CU 6005? 50 without a license, 500 with a license and additional CUs.
