Overview

The DC 6190 P is a fully digital portable conference unit perfectly suited for permanent meeting rooms or temporary discussion-style meetings with language interpretation. The unit features a built-in loudspeaker, a 3 pin XLR connector for a pluggable gooseneck microphone (sold separately) and two (2) channel selectors with 3 letter language codes.

The unit is easily configured for use by either a delegate or a chairman and the two (2) push buttons can be exchanged to match functionality or to match the local language. Two (2) separate channel selectors are available with crystal clear indication on OLED displays enabling two persons to listen to the interpreted language. The loudspeaker is functioning also when both channel selectors are in use. The unit designed for portable use, but can also be installed recessed in a table.

FAQ

How many microphone units can be connected to the CU?

The total number of units that can be connected is based on cable length, type of CU and the type of unit being connected, but on each output of a CU 6010 you can typically get about 30 to 42 delegate/chairman units, or 20 to 30 flush mount units, or 16 Interpreter Sets. More units can be added with extension power supplies. Contact Listen Technical Support for more information.

How far can the daisy chain cabling go?

656 ft. (200 m) without any repeaters. Up to 2,132 ft. (650 m) with repeaters and further when using optical cables. Contact Listen Technical Support for more information.

Can I mix and match different microphone styles with the system?

Yes, all the DCS 6000 units with a loop through (all except the DT/IT) can be connected in parallel or serial configurations.

Is the cabling proprietary cabling?

No, but it must be shielded Cat-5 (FTP /STP). Depending on the specification, higher shielded CAT cables can be used for extension cables as well.

Can I use a conference system without chairman unit?

Yes you can, however, there will not be any priority function available. The chairman will not be able to manage the microphone system.

How many microphones can be connected to the CU 6005?

50 without a license, 500 with a license and additional CUs.
