Tour Group

When you’re taking guests on a tour through a facility, it can sometimes be difficult to hear what the tour guide is saying. Listen tour group products wirelessly transmit the tour guide’s voice directly to the ears of the group.

Here are some basic considerations to take into account as you decide which tour group system is right for you.

  • How many tours will run simultaneously?

  • Will the tour group system be used more than once per month?

  • Is ear protection required in the environment where the tours will take place?

  • Will hardhats be worn during the tour?

  • Do you need a 2-way system? Or do you want to accommodate questions?

FAQ

  • What do I do with the group system when I'm not using it?

Your Listen Tour Group system comes in its own carrying/storage case that can optionally charge the batteries.

  • Our tour leaders are not very technical, how much training is required to learn how to use the system?

Not much. To use the system, you turn it on and start using it.

  • Is the Listen Tour Group System a 2‐way system?

No. However, we do not recommend a 2‐way system for tour guides because a 2‐way system means that everyone hears every sniffle, cough, comment, etc. The tour guide loses control of the tour and the tour becomes unproductive.

  • What if participants want to ask questions, how will everyone be able to hear these?

Listen recommends the use of the handheld microphone (LA-274). This allows the tour guide to have control of the tour and makes for a fun talk‐show like environment in order to accommodate questions.

  • How far away can the tour guides transmitter reach?

150 feet (45.7 m) away, "line of sight"

  • How many tour "listeners/participants" can I have on a tour?

It's unlimited. You can have as many people “listen” to a tour guide as can be within 150 feet (45.7 m) from the tour guides transmitter.
