The 4000 commander computer software gives the operator/conference chair remote control over all units in the conference. Delegate stations can be switched on and off and put in the request-to-speak queue. System operating modes, delegate unit volume and audio input volume can be configured as well the number of open microphones and the maximum speech time. Conference units can be addressed either by the unit ID number that is automatically assigned when the unit is plugged in the daisy chain or by the delegate’s name. A separate chairman display window is available to show the speaker information and request-to-speak list to the conference chair one a second monitor via Windows® extended desktop. It is possible to view and/or print a timed log file of all speakers in the meeting.
