LISTEN QUICK TIP

FM Product Low Battery Indication

We have recently experienced some calls regarding the battery indicator on our FM receivers (LR-400 and LR-500) and Portable Transmitter (LT-700). After using the receiver or transmitter for a short time, the indicator on the display will show that the batteries have only half a charge. The issue actually occurs when the NiMH batteries are too low to charge in one charging cycle using a charging case or wall charger. If you are seeing this issue, follow these steps to get the battery back to full charge:
  1. Place the receiver or transmitter in the case. Be sure to firmly press the unit down in the case so that device is touching the charging pins. NOTE: Never charge unit with lid closed.
  2. Make sure the LED on the top of the device is blinking (it may take a few seconds to a few minutes for this to happen).
  3. Let the unit charge for the full 13 hour charging cycle.
  4. When the cycle is completed, the LED on the top of the device will stay illuminated.
  5. Pick the receiver up out of the tray for 30 seconds,
  6. Place it back in the tray for another charging cycle.
  7. Units should indicate fully charged.
Using this method will clear most battery indication errors.

APPLICATION AT A GLANCE

Programming a Stationary IR Recevier
Previously we discussed programming an FM receiver and many have asked similar questions about our IR (infraed) receivers. Using video for presentation, you can understand how to program and lock/unlock a channel on Listen's two Stationary IR receivers.
