About Hilary McManus

Dr. Hilary McManus is a licensed Audiologist and hearing aid dispenser in New York State. She is certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Dr. McManus obtained her degree at the CUNY Graduate Center. During her schooling, she trained extensively in the areas of Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) and hearing conservation. Presently, Dr. McManus sees the effects of noise exposure on a daily basis in her patient pool. She not only preforms diagnostic testing to identify noise induced hearing loss and speech-in-noise difficulties in those exposed, but she also frequently fits musician earplugs for hearing conservation.

Dr. McManus has gained a wide breadth of knowledge regarding the evaluation and treatment of hearing and vestibular disorders in individuals of all ages through her various educational placements and positions with the NYS Newborn Hearing Screening program and as a practicing audiologist with an expansive hospital system.

Not only has she gained vast experience with auditory and vestibular diagnostics, Dr. McManus keeps abreast with the latest digital hearing technology including both hearing aids and noise protection measures. Beyond diagnostics, Dr. McManus aims to treat those she serves with empathy and as she would like a family member to be treated by a hearing healthcare professional.
