Auracast is expected to be used in public places like theatres, airports, classrooms, and meeting rooms, where users can connect directly to the venue’s sound system using their phone, hearing aids, or other compatible devices. The first full system using Auracast, called Auri™, has already been launched by Listen Technologies and Ampetronic.

Connected Places Catapult selected Ampetronic to trial Auri at Bristol’s Temple Meads station as part of the program Station Innovation Zone . Developed in collaboration with Network Rail with the support of Innovate UKThe program seeks to reduce barriers to innovation and serves as a showcase where rail technology buyers and investors can collaborate to shape the stations of the future.

Bringing Auri Assistive Listening to AuDacity 2025

Listen Technologies and Ampetronic are jointly showcasing their assistive listening system, Auri, at AuDacity 2025, the annual conference of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. They’ll also be providing a limited number of dedicated Auri™ receivers available for attendees to borrow if they do not have an Auracast™ compatible device.
