Assistive Listening and ADA/CBC Compliance

This course qualifies for 1 (one) AVIXA CTS & CTS-D renewal unit and AIA HSW credits 

This free class is dedicated to sharing the ins-and-outs of assistive listening and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Additionally, we have live webinars for California residents, which expands to cover the additional requirements of the California Building Code (CBC). During this course you will learn:

  • What assistive listening is and why it is required by the ADA/CBC
  • How providing an assistive listening system can boost business
  • The ADA/CBC requirements for assistive listening

Hearing Loops (Level 1) Certification: Theory and Assessment

Completion of this webinar is required for ListenLOOP Level 1 certification. 

This 90-minute webinar is a comprehensive study of how hearing aids and hearing loops work, as well as how to assess an environment for suitability. You will learn in detail the equipment used in hearing loop systems, how to interpret loop design drawings, and apply best-practice installation techniques.  Successful completion of this webinar and quiz qualifies the dealer or system integrator to purchase and install perimeter loop systems and is a prerequisite for Hearing Loop Hands-on Installation Training.

We will send you a short quiz–successful completion will entitle you to (two) 2 AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I RU.

Hearing Loop (Level 2) Installation Training (Hands-On*) – 8 hours

Required for certification.

This eight-hour course is the final step in becoming certified to purchase and install the full line of ListenLOOP products. These courses are conducted throughout the country or arranged at your location.

 Participants in this course will:

  • Conduct background noise testing
  • Install and conduct a Figure-8 metal loss test
  • Install a loss control phased array
  • Test for IEC 60118-4 Standards Compliance
  • Troubleshoot the system
  • Commission the system

NOTE:  It is highly recommended attendees should view both webinars and pass the quiz prior to the class.
