Auri™ Manager version 1.3
We’re excited to announce the release of Auri™ Manager v1.3 and the accompanying Auri™ firmware update v1.4. This latest version brings powerful new features, user experience improvements, and bug fixes to deliver a more stable and intuitive system management experience. These updates are designed to make configuration, monitoring, and diagnostics more efficient than ever.
Update Requirements
To take full advantage of all new features and improvements, you’ll need to:
- The Auri™ Manager must be updated via the Microsoft Store.
- Firmware v1.4 is required on Auri™ devices to unlock all functionality introduced in Auri™ Manager v1.3.
New Features
- Auri™ Manager now includes checking for and notifying users of available software updates.
- Users can manually enter device IP addresses into Auri™ Manager when mDNS discovery is unavailable on the venue’s network.
- The Device List now displays devices that respond to mDNS even if they do not respond to the info service.
- Users can now export and import Auri™ Manager databases.
Improvements
- Login: The Default Credentials page now displays an image of the Docking Station password label when selecting a D4 or D16 device.
- Audio Input: Improved visual indication when the input level is too high or “hot.”
- Device List: More accurate reporting of device status when a device is offline or unreachable.
- Logging: Diagnostic logging enhancements improve visibility and clarity for users.
- Import/Export: Exported configuration files now include only the items selected by the user.
- Network Audio: Users are prompted to restart the system after making changes to network audio settings. Only available audio streams can now be selected.
- Network: Improved recognition of link-local devices when connected via Wi-Fi.
- Performance: Enhanced consistency in refresh speed across the interface.
UI Improvements Include:
- A spinner now indicates progress on the Account page.
- The library updates when “Apply Settings” is clicked.
- The broadcast name character limit has been increased.
- Resizing issues in Auri™ Manager have been resolved.
- An “Update Library” button has been added to the library page.
- Auto Connect is disabled when “Scan Lock” is enabled.
Bug Fixes
- Account Login: Users may be prompted to enter credentials multiple times during a single Auri™ Manager session.
- Account: The “Delete Account” button returns an error even though the account is successfully deleted; associated devices may still display the account as “admin.”
- Device List Updates:
- Repeated use of the Refresh button can cause authenticated devices to incorrectly report an authentication failure.
- The “Unable to communicate with ….” error displays user input instead of the device’s IP address.
- Devices may not be automatically discovered or marked as online if no other devices are currently online.
- Offline transmitters appear with a “Network Error” status instead of correctly showing as “Offline.”
- The Remove button does not always successfully remove devices from the list.
- Firmware Auri™ Devices Update: May fail to update over a link-local connection.
- Firmware RX1 Firmware Update: Now correctly displays progress and current status.
- Import/Export: After importing settings, devices may report communication failures until Auri™ Manager is restarted.
- Logging: Duplicate notifications may appear when devices are discovered, or the Refresh button is used.
- Network Audio: Network changes, including repeated restart prompts, can trigger incorrect behavior.
- Performance: Auri™ Manager may become unresponsive over time.
Auri™ Firmware version 1.4
Auri™ Firmware v1.4 introduces new features, performance improvements, and critical bug fixes to enhance system reliability and user experience. This release includes updates for TX2N transmitters, D4/D16 docking stations, and RX1 receivers.
Update Requirements
To take full advantage of all new features and improvements, you’ll need to:
- Devices must be connected to the same network as the PC running the Auri™ Manager application. They must appear online and be authenticated as an admin. For full firmware update instructions, refer to the system handbook.
- All transmitters, docking stations, and receivers within the system should be updated to the same firmware version.
- If upgrading from version 1.3, these release notes should be reviewed in conjunction with the v1.3 release notes.
New Features
TX2N
- Support has been added for the Audio Active structure within the periodic advertising packet. This feature is currently not dynamically controlled.
RX1
- The “TX Survey” tool has been added to the commissioning tools available on the RX1 receiver.
- The “Signal Quality” tool is now also included in the RX1 receiver’s commissioning tools.
Improvements
TX2N & D4/D16
- Improved LED behavior to resolve some LED state issues.
RX1
- Increased the menu function timeout to 30 seconds.
- Fixed an issue where the “Auto-Power” feature did not behave correctly when set to OFF.
- The info screen now has a flashing “Low” indicator that indicates when the battery is critically low.
- A “Factory Reset” option has been added to the Tools menu.
- If a scan is aborted, the receiver will now return to the previously known broadcast, labeled as the “Current Broadcast.”
- The menu system now supports scroll bars for easier navigation.
Bug Fixes
TX2N
- Fixed an issue on TX2N-A0 units where one or both radios could revert to the default maximum power setting when a radio was toggled off and back on.
- Resolved a problem where radios would incorrectly reboot when the encryption code (Privacy Key) was changed.
D4/D16
- Corrected an error where the “percentage complete” message was displayed after a firmware update was already finished.
- Fixed incorrect behavior when the info button was pressed.
RX1
- Addressed multiple issues related to scanning and connecting to broadcasts, improving overall initial connection and reconnection reliability.
- Resolved a receiver lock-up issue after operating continuously for more than 36 hours.
- Fixed a problem where the broadcast list would fail to display if more than 10 broadcasts were detected.
- Resolved a power-on issue triggered by headphone removal.
- Corrected the display of “Scan Lock” status in the Settings menu.
- Restored the Active-Audio name display when the “Connect-to-Previous” feature is disabled (BLE-10887).
