When a specific request arose, they utilized Ampetronic and Listen Technologies’ diverse portfolio to help evaluate multiple technologies, including Auracast™, audio over Wi-Fi, infrared, and induction loop.

Kaumans will outline how venues can leverage Auracast™ technology to connect with fans and future-proof stadiums and arenas as adoption of Auracast™-compatible devices increases. He will demonstrate Auri™ in-room during the presentation and at Booth #12 during the conference. Various assistive listening options were evaluated before Jands introduced the client to Auri, a solution built on Auracast broadcasting, and developed by Listen Technologies and Ampetronic. The system would allow the venue to deliver the same direct audio experience as a hearing loop without the complexity of under-floor cabling or amplifier arrays.
The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham is one of a handful of theatres that has installed the Auri system, rubbing shoulders with the likes of the Sydney Opera House. It’s part of a series of initiatives they have installed to make the theatre accessible to everyone. They include audio-described plays, signed performances and, several times a year, subtitled shows.
