We haven’t slowed down after setting the standard as the first Auracast™ broadcast audio-based solution for assistive listening. Our engineering team has been listening closely to the needs of professional AV integrators, and our latest firmware and software releases are designed to make Auri™ the most complete and flexible solution for managed AV environments.

Assistive Listening with Confidence and Control

With this update, the Auri™ TX2N transmitters and Auri™ D4/D16 docking stations now support a powerful third-party control API, using straightforward UDP network commands. This means you can integrate Auri™ directly into your wider AV ecosystem, whether you’re looking to monitor system status, automate configuration changes, read back audio levels, or display broadcast information in real time. The days of isolated systems are over. Auri™ now fits seamlessly into your managed AV workflows, whether building from scratch or enhancing an existing install.

But integration is just the start. Managing Auri™ broadcasts is now easier and more secure than ever. You can remotely turn broadcasts on or off, refresh encryption keys for every session, or update program information fields to give users real-time context about the audio content in the space. Because Auri™ is a complete ecosystem, a new encryption key can be pushed to transmitters and docking stations simultaneously, automatically updating every docked receiver; no manual intervention required. Tightening security by preventing lingering connections from previous sessions keeps access frictionless for users and staff. Broadcast information can be displayed on screens or as Bluetooth® QR codes, making even complex keys easy to use and share.

We know that seamless interoperability is essential for any successful AV installation. That’s why we’ve developed ready-made Q-Sys plugins for transmitters and docking stations. With these plugins, you don’t need to write a single line of code; download, connect, and start controlling your Auri™ devices directly from your Q-Sys environment. Proactive monitoring and instant status updates mean you can address issues before they impact users, making this ideal for assistive listening and other mission-critical AV applications.

Why This Matters:

  • True interoperability: Integrate Auri™ with equipment from any manufacturer.
  • Easier connectivity: Share broadcast information through your existing panels; no proprietary devices needed.
  • Proactive system health: Real-time monitoring and automated controls keep your AV running smoothly.
  • Frictionless deployment: Auri™ Manager makes rolling out these features across your network a breeze.

How to Get Started

  • Update firmware v1.5+ via Auri™ Manager for instant access to the new API (disabled by default for security).
  • Enable the API in Auri™ Manager v1.4+ and follow our comprehensive API Guide for supported commands and implementation examples.
  • Download Q-Sys plugins and start integrating; no programming required.

This update is part of our ongoing commitment to listening to integrators and investing in features that make your installs smarter, more secure, and easier to manage.
