Barber Motorsports Park Revs It Up With Listen Wireless Audio

When the Indy Racing League (IRL) scheduled a circuit race at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham AL for the first time in April of 2010, audio was the last subject on the to-do list. After the race was completed, it was very clear that audio would now become mission number 1 before securing the next race date in 2011. Broadcast audio and integration was problematic and the complaints on the public address system’s quality and volume were to be addressed immediately. It was decided to renovate the audio system entirely.

Soundfield Benefit Studies – Results Are Stunning

There’s a lot of talk about how to improve grades in the classroom. And with so much pressure on the budget, there’s a great concern that our students might not get the complete education they deserve. I came across a study that was presented at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Convention in Orlando, FL on December 9, 1995. The full text of study can be found at SOUNDFIELD FM AMPLIFICATION: FLORIDA’S IMPROVING CLASSROOM ACOUSTICS PROJECT. The study is credited to Gail Gegg Rosenberg, M.S.,CCC-A, School Board of Sarasota County, Sarasota, FL and Patricia Blake-Rahter, M.S.,CCC-A, University of South Florida, Tampa, FL. It’s part of the famous MARRS study web site.

Hale Centre Theatre

The Hale Centre Theatre first became a Listen customer in 2003 when they contacted us looking for a replacement to their installed assistive listening system.  Since they were familiar with such systems and they had experience with another brand, they requested an evaluation system prior to making their final decision.  I worked with them on this and supplied them with a system to try for 30 days.  The rest as they say is history. Listen and the staff at Hale Centre Theatre became friends quickly.  They loved their new Listen system and felt comfortable with our company right away.    We’ve grown quite close to them and our relationship has evolved beyond being their assistive listening solution provider.
